Alberta Pork

Alberta Pork is based in Edmonton, Alberta.  It is a non-profit organization representing Alberta’s over 500 hog producers and represents producer’s interests to governments, media, the general public and other groups involved in the pork industry. The organization currently gathers a $1.00 levy per market hog and $0.25 on pigs under 50 kilograms that are sold out of Canada. These funds are utilized for the development, growth and promotion of the Alberta pork industry. The top-quality pork produced in Alberta is in demand around the world.  The organization's producers work tirelessly to ensure healthy and stress-free animals, safe working conditions, and quality pork.
